Quick clip of a Gries 35 1x12 combo set with the mids around 1 o'clock and bass and treble around 10 o'clock. The master volume was dropped down and the preamp volume was up around 3 o'clock to give up a nice fat overdriven tone that still retains that cranked blackface bite. Plugged straight in using a Superlead '59 Telecaster replica loaded with Ron Ellis pickups. Please excuse my obvious lack of creativity. This was thrown together using my iphone 4, directly following 3 hours of band rehearsal.
Dave Gries builds great amps. Check em out if you get the chance.
