This liver fat melting soup is straight from the pioneer of macrobiotics in America, the American vegetable movement's founding father Michio Kushi himself.
My ex-husband had an eye affliction for an unknown reason, and got narrower vision in his left eye as the days passed. We went to multiple hospitals, and he was diagnosed with constriction of vision. When his vision deteriorated to less than 30% remaining, Dr Kushi gave us advice on what to do.
The reason for his illness was "build up of liver fat"! No more overdrinking, eating too much ramen, and similar things. I was a bit disappointed because I loved ramen...
He taught us this fat melting soup's recipe, and I ripped the vegetables by hand every single day until I got carpal tunnel. After the first week, his urine color turned rainbow colored (or so he claimed). By week two, his vision was slowly returning, and by the third, it was almost fully recovered. I was truly stunned by the power of eating properly, and how food could both take away and recover vision.
What hospitals and clinics couldn't repair, a bunch of carrots, radishes, pumpkins and cabbages did. I am truly thankful for having met Michio Kushi.
