North Cascades Institute and the Forest Service have created the annual Migratory Bird Festival to make nature and cultural history come alive for students from Seattle and Mt. Vernon, Wash. This spring the agencies take 80 youth and 15 elders touring four wildlife habitats and a historical lighthouse. They experience migration from a bird's perspective, learn about quality habitat and play interactive games.
