Sometimes the best balm for melancholy is to go to the piano and write a song (lyrics below). That is exactly what happened one evening late in June on a Wednesday "Happy Town" night with no show to watch. I tweeted about it and one of my fav followers messaged me back. He said, "that would be really cool...go ahead and do a song like ain't no cure for the "Happy Town" blues." Ha ha, thought I. But, I could not stop thinking about it. The lyrics rolled themselves out easily and I popped into my favorite studio to record it. I am very grateful to the producers and editor for the opportunity to have my version of The Wallflower's "6th Avenue Heartache" in the "Sleight of Hand" episode 104. That song plays over several scenes in Act IV including the hot little love scene with Henley and Greggy, when they share cinnamon waffles with creme. So, that is where that line comes from in the chorus of my "Happy Town" song.
Got my fingers crossed on a shooting star that somehow "Happy Town" makes a comeback!! 36,000 fans on Facebook cannot be wrong. Three petitions, several forums and a ferocious fan base (including moi) need more "Happy Town". Thank you and love to all.

verse 1:
A Halo round my Happy Town,
few answers to the Question Marks,
Magic Man still on the loose and
I'm waitin' in the dark.
Henley with her hammer and
Greggy in bed,
Oh, how Haplin
has played with my head.

Happy Town, Happy Town,
it's not what it seems
Oh, I am gonna miss
cinnamon waffles with sweet cream.
We'll never know the secrets
inside Weeping Wall,
'Cause somebody up there
let Happy Town fall.

verse 2:
And all the cool people,
must have been a baker's dozen.
Maybe we'll never know
where are the missing 7.
Big Dave and Root Beer
Merritt with his charm,
Scared me in the first show
Sheriff cut off his own arm!

Repeat Chorus

verse 3:
Is Tommy's mother really dead and gone,
I'm clueless 'bout the Blue Door
Chloe stays a mystery and the
writers they can't write no more.
Don't think clan Stiviletto's
ever met no malice.
Let's have a beer a Cicero's and
just ask Alice.

Repeat Chorus

verse 4:
Halo and the Question Mark,
Few answers in the end.
Magic Man still runnin' free,
So long my Minnesota friends.
