The South Llano Watershed Alliance in Kimball County and surrounding areas is a winner in the Texas Parks and Wildlife Lone Star Land Steward Awards. The Alliance is made up of landowners and stakeholders who have come together to preserve and enhance one of the state's most pristine rivers, the South Llano, as well as adjoining watersheds, by encouraging land and water stewardship through collaboration, education and community participation.
