Friday, June 01, 2012 North Carolina GOP Convention at Koury Convention Center in Greenville, NC

In the process of reviewing the North Carolina Republican Platform, an amendment is proposed which states that it is our belief that NC law enforcement should refuse to cooperate with provisions of the NDAA which authorize the indefinite detention of American citizens.

This is important because there was an "Opposition to NDAA" bill (H.R. 982) introduced to our state general assembly last month, proposed by rep.Glen Bradley. The intent of the bill is to tackle the NDAA federal detention provision through the means of statewide nullification. This is an issue that will be heard and we need our republican-majority legislature to know the North Carolina republican stance is in opposition to NDAA.
