After a major renovation the Roosevelt House, once the residence of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and his family, reopened last year as the home of the Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute at Hunter College. "We've taken a 1908 building. We've thoroughly modernized it," says Jennifer Raab, President of Hunter College. "It has state of the art technology, but the feel and the legacy of the extraordinary public servants who lived here is still very much evident — and we know that Franklin and Eleanor would be very proud of the Hunter students and their aspirations and their commitment to really living the American dream."
