In our full extended interview with economist Richard Wolff, we talk more about the startling fact that although we hear a lot about democracy in government, we rarely consider that the bulk of our lives are lived in hugely un-democratic places, namely, the workplace. Professor Wolff explains the co-op model and how it is both an alternative to capitalism as well as a way to weather it. Co-ops can also help us ride the silver tsunami and the growing issue of automation. Finally, can capitalism be fixed and if not, are our schools shifting to make room for new ideas?
