CINCINNATI, Ohio (Deb Dixon) -- Communities are filling buses to be part of a candlelight chain for peace tomorrow night. Many in the chain are survivors of murder. This year, so far, there have been 55 murders. Thats two more than all of last year. The family of a 17 year old Princeton High School student murdered last Sunday will be part of the chain of citizens who plan to line Reading Road for five miles, from Section Road to Martin Luther King Blvd. Police in Lincoln Heights where Keshawn Wilson was shot to death say he wasnt into drugs, or a gang. He may have been killed because he argued with the wrong person. No ones been arrested, but Police Chief Conroy Chance says a lot of information is coming in, and he is optimistic an arrest will be made. Keshawn lived with his father. Shawn Crews said when he got to his son he was still alive. The teen said Daddy before he was taken away by the rescue squad. He later died. Keshawns family will join the candlelight chain of peace tomorrow night at 8:00 PM. Organizer Hope Dudley says churches and neighborhoods plan to come out for the event. Dudleys son, Chaz was killed in a drive by shooting in 2007. She says by standing together with a candle for fifteen minutes participants are asking those who kill shoot and rob to promise to walk away from crime or violence for the next 24 hours. The Candleight Chain is asking for 24 hours of peace in Cincinnati. There is a $3,000 reward through Crime Stoppers for information about Keshawns murder. Call Crime Stoppers at 352-3040 or the Lincoln Heights Police.
