Roger Hodgson, co-founder of Supertramp, dedicated "The Logical Song" to his mentor and senior manager, Elliott Lott, Roger's senior manager for many years & helped to bring Roger back to touring and connecting with his fans worldwide, plus he has served as an invaluable mentor & adviser to Roger's other two managers, Shakti & Linda.

Elliott has also been the Beach Boys' manager for over 40 years, gaining much wisdom & experience to complement his great care and love of music. This dedication was to honor Elliott and all of the unsung heroes in our life. You can tell by the tremendous applause, this was a very powerful heartfelt moment in the show. The audience spontaneously rose to their feet & gave Elliott a standing ovation.

"THE LOGICAL SONG was born from my questions about what really matters in life. Throughout childhood we are taught all these ways to be and yet we are rarely told anything about our true self. We are taught how to function outwardly, but not guided to who we are inwardly. We go from the innocence and wonder of childhood to the confusion of adolescence that often ends in the cynicism and disillusionment of adulthood. In The Logical Song, the burning question that came down to its rawest place was "please tell me who I am," and that's basically what the song is about. I think this eternal question continues to hit such a deep chord in people around the world and why it stays so meaningful." ~Roger Hodgson

"I could really relate to this song when it was released, it touches my soul and memories so closely. Roger's lyrics are so true, some of us logical & cynical, this song always takes me back to my thoughts before I was sent to school (a mind altering prison) to the days of carefree wonder before 1967. And I'm still asking the same question, "who and why am I, who I am?"

"Roger's vibrant & uplifting charisma is felt entirely through his music. The connection he has with the crowd is special..he interacts with us, making us feel at home - the experience stays in your mind and heart even years after."
