On February 18, 2011, the Patriot Guard Riders, Charlotte HOG, and many organizations had the honor and privilege of standing for and escorting MCPO Lyle A. Davenport from Holy Covenant United Church of Christ, Charlotte, NC to his final resting place at Salisbury National Cemetery.

Lyle served in the US Navy for 26 years and is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm.

Lyle's passion for honoring US military veterans and riding motorcycles led him to become a dedicated and loved member of the Patriot Guard Riders and the Charlotte Harley Owners Group Chapter, in which he served as Activities Coordinator. He was also actively involved in the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

God Bless Lyle Davenport, his family, and his friends.
