How much talent and soul can you put on stage and pour into one song? Can't be much more than this.

This is off topic, but I hope that someone here can help me: back in the 1970s, there was a c/w song that didn't get much radio play, and I'm trying to identify it. It started with a man's voice, not singing, just talking.....he said he had gone to a bar (something like silver dollar, but I'm not sure about that name) and he apparently ran into his lost love there. Ring any bells with anyone?
Wally Norlander
John, you are correct, and I thank you for the information. Someone else gave me the same lead earlier...
