At the farthest East side of Detroit on the Detroit River is Riverfront-Lakewood Park at the end of Alter Road. The park is totally neglected and just full of garbage along the sea wall and there are full bags of garbage bags along with mattresses and miscellaneous household furnishings scattered throughout the park. in the parking lot that look like they have been through a hurricane but surely were stolen and stripped down. Garbage everywhere you step in the park, it is also where they found the torso and body parts recently as well. The park is watched quite a bit by the Border Patrol as it lies close to Canada and is also the park where they found the body parts of people in the river in July of 2012. This park needs a cleanup badly, it could be such a nice park for people with the great scenery on the Detroit River.
