Journalist and author Eugene Robinson appears at the 2011 National Book Festival.
Speaker Biography: Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson won the Pulitzer Prize for commentary in 2009 for his "eloquent columns on the 2008 presidential campaign that focus[ed] on the election of the first African-American president, showcasing graceful writing and grasp of the larger historic picture." During his 30-year career at The Post, Robinson has held jobs as city editor, foreign correspondent and editor of the "Style" section, among other posts. His new book is "Disintegration: The Splintering of Black America" (Doubleday). He is also a regular commentator on MSNBC.
