The house didn't budge at all, the first three attempts, but on the fourth...

Checkout P2 to see Serendipity rolling down the road.

Serendipity, the house made famous by the motion picture, "Nights in Rodanthe" has been saved. Thanks to new owners Ben & Debbie Huss of Newton Conover, NC Serendipity has a future in Rodanthe.

Being a native of North Carolina and having a heart as big as Serendipity, there was no way Ben Huss could sit back and watch this house be demolished. "This house is a part of me now", Ben told me, with a humbleness that would break your heart.

This has been a rollercoaster of a ride so far. Not just for Ben & Debbie but for everyone involved.

For the previous owners Mike & Susan Creasy from Champion, PA It's been heartbreaking. From what little I've gathered Serendipity is as much a part of them as it is a part of Ben now. Selling the house is one of the hardest things they've ever had to do, but living so far away has just made it to difficult to upkeep Serendipity.

And for the contractor Mike Price and his wife Linda of Concord, NC and what little sleep they've had. There have been many trips made in the middle of the night pushing sand to block the ocean to insure high tide didn't jepordize the move.

This ride is only half over. stay tuned!
