Mini- essay if you can be bothered to read it.. Mostly just me rambling on!
This pony is called Bella, and shes only 12.3hh which is why i look a bit big on her!
Shes not my pony, but ive been riding her for years and mainly just hacked her and jumped her. She is increadibly strong and always has been. When i started riding her she was an absolute manic- bolted all the time, and because i was abut 12 i wasnt strong enough to hold her so it just got worse because she realised she could just take advantage, and jumping she used to rush fences and bolt away from them the other side and shove her head down, or bolt into them then refuse and just dump me on the jump.. horrid beastling! But recently, as my riding has improved i have been schooling her alot more. Her schooling will never be perfect as she is 17 and very stuck in her ways- bad habits included!! But she has improved so much in under a year, i would never have trusted her with a beginner but now she has a little girl ride her and i even do lead rein showing with the little girl on her.
Shes having a break from jumping over winter so we can hopefully improve the schooling enough to do some little ODE's next year, so we dont get laughed out of the dressage phase, becuase her brakes are good enough for cross country now (she loves the speed of it and will jump anything), and we are constistantly getting placed in the toop 3 showjumping (she could go alot higher if i had the confidence, she could easily affiliate bsja)
Also, the field im riding in here is the only field im allowed to ride in and (its not my job to poo pick it!) because its on a slope so its more difficult to keep her pace and way of going consistant than it would be on the flat, but its better than nothing!
