This illustrates a very robust GPU-based head tracking openGL application. We can hand it to people under a wide variety of lighting conditions. There are several advantages to head-tracking: unlike accelerometers, head tracking will work in a moving vehicle and the tracking establishes a relationship between you and the device rather than the device and the Earth (as accelerometers do). Head tracking allows you to interact hands free or use your hands to tip the device as a separate gesture.
