Measles:

• Measles is a highly contagious viral infection
• It commonly affects children
• Vaccination has reduced its occurrence in recent years

Symptoms to look for:

• Fever
• Sore eyes
• Runny nose
• Cough
• Sore throat
• Loss of appetite
• Skin rashes in form of round spots
o They appear around face and neck and then spread to other parts of the body
o Initially pink, the spots darken as the condition progresses

Causes:

• Incorrect eating habits
• Living in unhygienic conditions

Natural home remedy using basil leaves and turmeric:

1. Take 2 tsp crushed basil leaves
2. Press on a sieve and extract its juice
3. Add 1 tsp turmeric powder
4. Mix well
5. Consume 2 times a day

Natural home remedy using fenugreek seeds:

1. Soak 2 tbsp fenugreek seeds in 1 glass water
2. Leave it for 2 hr
3. Drink 3 tsp of this water every 30 min

Tips:

• Keep the patient in a separate and clean room till cured
• Do not share common objects like bed linen, towels etc. with the patient as this will prevent the infection from spreading
