"How can we build a national culture of health?

On January 13, 2014, the RWJF Commission to Build a Healthier America released its final recommendations during a live online event broadcasted from Washington, D.C. The recommendations focus on early childhood development, healthy communities, and a broadened approach to health care.

At the event, Dr. Jack Shonkoff, Director of the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University, gave testimony on the impact of early childhood experiences on a person's lifelong health.
