Spent my Memorial Day 2011 on the Lee Ranch (outside of Mountainair, Socorro County, south of the Manzano Mountains, west of Chupadera mts.) with some very wonderful people. I helped a "LEETEL" bit with the process by giving vaccinations. We started out at 6:30 a.m. loading the horses on the trailer. Drove for 12 miles to a watering well. Rode out on horseback to gather the cattle and drove them into a pen. There, they got separated from the adults and one by one were driven into a shutte to be vaccinated, branded, tagged, castrated (via an elastic band) and ears were clipped (marked). Went by pretty quickly. Once done, we had a great brunch/lunch and then I got a tour of part of the ranch.
