Hollywood, Ca, Dec. 7, 2012: Micha X. Peled's film, BITTER SEEDS, received the IDA (international Documentary Association) Humanitas award, given to a film that contributed to "breaking the walls of ignorance which separate us."

At the award ceremony at the Directors Guild of America (DGA) auditorium, Peled dedicated the award to the suffering farmers of Vidarbha, India, who can only use genetically-modified seeds since Monsanto took over the local seed market. But the most memorable part of the speech was the dirty joke at the end...
