Taken from Wikipedia:
"Cosmic Smash is an arcade game that was later ported to the Dreamcast console. It is a futuristic combination of Squash and Breakout, and is a single player game. It is one of the few Dreamcast games to be released in a DVD-style case, rather than a jewel case"
This is all it says, but I love this game. It's underrated and it's mindless fun. It's a very short game that you can beat in less than a half-hour. There are no lives, but there is a timer but it's pretty difficult to run the timer down. The point of the game is there's you, a wall, a ball, and several blocks. You must use your racket that you have to smash all the blocks to proceed to the next stage. You can do trick shots and regular shots as well as jump
You are scored according to time and are awarded if you finish without losing your ball or finish with a trick shot. The unique part of the game is that you can choose your own paths. The longer the path the harder it gets, but even saying that it's still fairly easy. Depending on the last room's difficulty you are matched up against a CPU player and you have to break their blocks to win the game
The game was released in Arcades in Europe and Japan in 2001, and came out on Dramcast in Japan only in 2001 as well
As always, played by me, recorded by me. Played on a Sega Dreamcast and recorded via a Hauppauge HD PVR 2
