A very rare CSX eastbound in broad daylight with a pair of HLCX SD40-2s in BNSF H1 heads east through Rockdale.

CSX J946, Empress Rd., Rockdale, IL, CSX New Rock Subdivision
HLCX 7906 = SD40-2
HLCX 7903 = SD40-2
CSX 1522 = GP15T (on back)

Okay, so I've been doing the overnight train audio outside my bedroom window thing again, and one night, both J745 and J746 had SD40-2s with K3LAs leading. The next night I tried waiting from 12:00 AM to 1:45 AM in the rain (fortunately with inside my truck.) waiting for J746 to come through, and gave up. I almost waited until 2:00, which I should've, because it came through at 1:57 and it had more of those SD40-2s. Boy was I furious. But on Superbowl Sunday, J746 (symbolled J946 this day.) was running really late and came through Morris at 1:40 PM. Nick Hart had notified me of this and since I returned from church an hour after it left Ottawa, I figured it was already gone, but nope. It came through while I was at the house. Frantically I raced this east, hoping to get him before Minooka, but with no roads directly paralleling the tracks, chasing eastbound from Morris is difficult. So I had to go all the way to Rockdale to get him. I made it with a couple minutes to spare.

So to sum up, a pair of leased HLCX SD40-2s in BNSF H1 paint leading a rare afternoon daylight eastbound CSX train on a "branch" line under an old Rock Island signal bridge. Um, hell yeah!!
