"Drifters: Plastics, Pollution and Personhood" presents Longobardi's environmental art project involving marine debris and plastic pollution of the North Pacific Gyre and the Hawaiian Islands. Shot in 2006, Longobardi has since cleaned thousands of pounds of plastic and drift nets from beaches all over the world including Hawaii, Alaska, Florida, Costa Rica, Italy, China, Taiwan, and Greece. Longobardi's work has been shown in museums and galleries across the US and in Venice, Italy, Beijing, China and will be featured in an upcoming exhibition at the Nouveau Musée National of Monaco in 2011.
