The Sensation - comprised ex-Heatwave - http://www.heatwave.n.nu - members: Peter Allatt [vocals], Terry Shea [bass], Richard Steen [guitar] plus James 'Stumpy' Allen [drums] - recorded their single, 'Black Eyed Woman' (on the Sticky label) on 4th March 1973 for TopPop TV Holland ... televised 1st June 1973.

'Black Eyed Woman' was co-written by David Taylor and Stuart Edwards -- the B-side, 'Baby', was written by John Edward.

4th August 2009, the song was included on the compilation album, The Electric Asylum, Vol. 3: Rare British Acid Freakrock ... a bootleg released by Past & Present Records.

2nd April 2013, the same Co. now known as Particles, released the bootleg compilation, Piccadilly Sunshine, Part Twelve: British Pop Psych and Other Flavours 1967-1971, with 'Rastus Ravel (Is a Mean Old Man) by Heatwave as track 4.
1st April 2014, the offending album was remastered and re-released minus, 'Rastus Ravel (Is A Mean Old Man)' – thanks to Heatwave drummer, Martin H. Samuel.
