Staff Sgt. Heath Calhoun was injured November 7, 2003 while serving with the 101st Airborne in Mosul, Iraq. Since being fit by Hanger Clinic, Inc. in July 2006, he has not used a wheelchair and enjoys driving his cars without the need for hand controls.
He is an avid golfer and has participated in the Challenged Athletes Triathlon and the Endeavor Games in swimming and running respectively. Today, he continues to provide encouragement and counseling for other amputees worldwide.
