ATTENTION: Better to watch the new video "Ngurugan (HQ New Edition)". You will enjoy some more footage and much better image resolution than this one.

ABOUT NGURUGAN: Ngurugan is a Funeral Ceremony held by Hindu people living in the island of Bali after somebody's death. Few days after death the corpse is buried at the village cemetery. It will remain undernearth for six months. After this period of time it will be exhumated. Before exhumation, 30 days after the burial, the family of the deceased and people from the community gather at the graveyard, around the tomb of the deceased, to perform Ngurugan. It is to purify the spirit of the death person and also to help the soul to find its way to the other life.
