Hurricane Season started June 1st and lasts
through November 30th…
While we prepare for any hazard…
it is extremely important that we spend some time
preparing for our county’s biggest threat…
a hurricane..

While threatened by hurricanes in 2004…
Tropical Storm Debby in 2015 and most recently…
Tropical Storm Colin in June… Pinellas
and Pasco Counties have been most fortunate
to avoid a direct impact…
Because of our luck, we can never let complacency
override our planning.
This is especially true for the senior population that
resides in either of these two counties..

While many in our everyday community are vulnerable…
Seniors are far more vulnerable after an event such as a
hurricane…

To assist our senior audience take planning seriously…
We’ve invited Sally Bishop, the Director of Pinellas
County Emergency Management and Kevin Guthrie,
Director of Pasco County Emergency Services…
Today, our guests will help shed light on
important senior preparedness information.
