Andrew McMurry is an associate professor of English Language and Literature in the Faculty of Arts, University of Waterloo. His scholarship considers the rhetorical dimensions of environmental threats, particularly how everyday habits of language and thought undermine sustainability. Countering the rhetoric of progressivist humanism, politics, and technoscience, Dr. McMurry reveals and examines obstacles to the development of an 'environmental humanities'.
