A juvenile gray whale was seen inside Tomales Bay, California. It is rare, but not unusual for them to occasionally foray into San Francisco and Tomales Bay. They seem to be feeding off the bottom. Our group of kayakers kept a 100 yard distance, but at one point the whale dove and came up right next to a kayak group. The video was made with a Panasonic TS2 point and shoot, and would have been a bit better if I was better prepared.
