4c hair can be tough but when it came time for me to blow dry my natural hair, I had a few black hair care tricks to help. 4a hair, 4b hair, and 4c hair are the kinkiest hair types and they are also the more dryer natural hair types as well. When dealing with type 4 hair, it's not always best to use heating tools and styles.
Since heating tools will only add more dryness to your hair and scalp here are some things you can do to prepare your hair:
•Do a moisturizing protein treatment on hair before blow drying
•Use a leave in conditioning spray geared towards heat styling
•Use a heat protectant spray or cream, followed by a heat protectant serum
•Apply light oil after hair has been straightened to keep any more moisture from leaving hair strands. A great light oil is jojoba oil, and a small about will do.
Try to limit the use of heat otherwise you can see serve damage to your hair strands.
The blow drying method which is called the tension method is used to keep as much moisture in the hair as possible but still straighten hair.
I needed to get my roots straight as well so I turned the blow dryer on cool and comb through my 4c hair.

This process would have been so much easier if I didn't have so much 4c natural hair shrinkage!
I love the look of blown dry 4c hair, but I hate the process, lol. I would soon be on a no heat challenge so I'm enjoying it while it last! It really did help once I started to style my natural 4c hair.
Heat Products Used:
1.Aussie Moist Hair insurance leave in conditioning spray
2.Olive Miracle Hair Moisturizing lotion
