Get ready for Part Two to TREASURE TEAM TANGO -- The Sonic Comic Drama! On this episode I've demonstrated how Ian Flynn, Tracey Yardley and the team had brought the comic to life and what it feels like when I'm reading one of their books every month -- particularly this one!
It's full of cool moments, surprises and plenty of jam-packed action and fun! SUCD Ep 3 - Part 02 really highlights some of my favourite moments in TTT (SU Story Arc 5), and I gotta say that I'm really proud of the production on this video, I'll explain why.
Not only were the voice-overs impressive to work with, and the fact that I had the pleasure of using those amazing recordings to match the dialogue that Ian cleverly crafted for this issue, but I'm REALLY pleased with the SFX's used and the way I've utilised them in the right places. There is just SO MUCH work that people don't realise when it comes to making Sonic Comic Dramas like these, I don't want to upload something that is half-cut and undone, when I notice something missing like the ambience of an underground cave, or perhaps maybe one of Omega's rockets or lasers are missing, or even something subtle as Shadow effortlessly catching the incoming Sol Emerald on Panel 1 of Page 8, I have this urge to get certain moments to SOUND RIGHT. And for this video, I felt that I didn't overdo it, and I didn't cut any corners either, I'm really happy with the depth I went into adding SFX's on this one -- oh baby I can feel it!
Nevertheless another thing that I'm really pleased about is the EXTRA SCENE that is not actually in the comic. This is something that I thought about implementing into Ian's story ever since I first read it at the comfort of my home -- I just knew that if I had to do a Sonic Comic Drama on TTT -- and I just HAD to add this scene in to show the bonding of Team Rose -- I mean they are the STARS of this arc after all don't you agree?
Well actually all the teams are starts in TTT! Heck I think the hero on this video is E-123 Omega! He's got two shining moments here -- including "Yipee-kay-yay pastel colored resistance!" and "I LIKE YOU! Let us burn things together!". Omg, Kovabomb did an amazing job voicing as the walking arsenal who suddenly has a crush on the flaming cat princess that is Blaze.
The SonicSong182 sisters, Darkbeauty1989 and Bdugo7 did a terrific job as Amy Rose, Rouge the Bat, Blaze the Cat and Cream the Rabbit. Blaze sounded like the hardy and ambitious princess that I know (somebody that you don't wanna mesh with for sure!), Amy sound like a true leader and someone who is most approachable out of the lot, Cream sounded the cute and innocent girl that she is (just wait till Part 3 where she lets her emotions rip -- raging at the fact that he friend Chao is mishandled by Nack the Weasel!), Rouge the Bat sounded sexy all the way through -- in a subtle and beautiful way, Shadow was the nuts even though he didn't get many lines here -- Mmichael154 to me has one of the best original Shadow the Hedgehog voices I heard, you can't resist it when he skillfully yelled 'CHAOS CONTROL' -- too sexy... XD, Bean the Dynamite (as many of you already know) is voiced by ShadyVox (and as many of you know also know) he does a damn awesome job as the crazy and unpredictable duck.
As for me, I played as Nack the Weasel (or Fang the Sniper to the diehard fans) and I'm pleased to know that people have given me positive feedback on his Australia accent. I want to portray a croaky thief's voice -- one whom you can't trust so easily but will negotiate and listen if money or some valuable treasure is involved. Surprisingly I didn't think I would voice as Cheese (aka Cream's companion) -- originally I was going to have him mute and this is evident on the scene where he deflected the metal casing to protect Cream from Rouge's incoming assault. Nevertheless I did his voice and it's not like it's the most difficult thing to do either -- I can do high pitched voices (heck I can improvise some of Cream's dialogue If I had to but Bdugo7 managed to cover me for all the lines I've requested ^^).
Nevertheless it's been a pleasure making this. I still got 2 or 3 more parts to go you know! This is just the beginning folks! Until next time in SONIC UNIVERSE Comic Drama series! Hope you can join me and my VA team then! *thumbs up*
