Transcription:
HBO's cancellations, another Kardashian controversy and streaming the super bowl. This is Rachel and it's coming up in today's Reel TV news.
Bad news for fans of Hung, Bored to Death and/or How to Make It in America. HBO has opted to not renew all 3 of these comedies for additional seasons. They did, however, renew the now Golden Globe nominated freshman comedy, Enlightened. HBO also plans to premiere 6 new series in 2012.
Star Magazine is reporting another Kardashian controversy: that some of their high end merchandise is produced in Chinese sweatshops. This has been uncovered by a human rights watchdog organization who accuse that the reality stars are turning a blind eye to human rights abuses. Kim Kardashian and her family have responded that this is the first they have heard of this, are taking it very seriously and are investigating the situation.
Big news about this year's Super Bowl on February 5th: no TV, no problem! Yes, the show is airing on NBC, but it will be streamed online for the first time ever onnfl.com and nbcsports.com. That's it for today's Reel TV news - we'll be back tomorrow.
