TIME LAPSE of a 12' wide by 14' long concrete patio for a duplex. Self designed and built with the help of 2 others. 4.75 cubic yards of concrete used. This is a small patio only for minor use.

I DO NOT own the background music.

1. Create forms. Use stakes to hold the forms in place. Cut the top of the stakes off so that the 2x4 used for screening can glide along the top of the forms.

2. Vibrate concrete to release air bubbles on stairs. You can use a palm sander.

3. Use a bull float for general leveling. Before you use the bull float, make sure you have screened and leveled the concrete as much as possible. The bull float will only make the concrete look smooth and does not move concrete around.

More information on getting a good looking finish:

4. Hand floats for finishing.

5. Use a broom for textured surface.
