This webinar will identify the connection between witnessing domestic violence and youth delinquency and homelessness. Domestic violence services and victim supports are often tailored for adults, which is a missed opportunity to support youth as they heal from trauma and make decisions for themselves. Exposure to violence can make youth especially vulnerable to experiencing or perpetrating future violence, therefore advocacy must be provided with the youth in mind as a primary survivor. This webinar will provide tools and advocacy methods for youth-led services that empower teen voices and offer opportunities for young people to become agents of change. Recorded March 2017.
