You don’t have to buy special ingredients such as soy meat, but you can use tofu to cook Chinese dumplings, Goza. As freeze and defrost tofu, you can enjoy a texture like freeze-dried bean curd. Frozen tofu can be used for many different dishes as well, so I always stock frozen tofu in my freezer!

Ingredients (for 50 pieces)

1 pack of firm tofu (Freeze and defrost it)
150g cabbage
30g Chinese chive
1/2 spring onion
1 clove of Garlic
1 clove of Ginger
*2 tbsp Sake
*1 tbsp Sesame oil
*1 tsp Soy sauce
*1/2 tsp Sugar
*Some Salt & pepper
*2 tbsp Starch
1 pack of Gyoza skins
1-2 tbsp Sesame oil (for fry)

How to cook

1 Freeze a firm tofu then defrost it. It takes about a day to defrost in a room temperature.
2 Chop the cabbage, Chinese chive and spring onion.
3 Grate the garlic and ginger.
4 Squeeze the defrosted tofu tightly to drain water.
5 Add the garlic, ginger and the ingredients marked with * in the tofu and mix them.
6 Add the vegetables and mix well.
7 Wrap the filling with a Gyoza skin.
8 Put sesame oil in a frying pan and put Gyoza dumplings to fry them.
9 Add water and put the lid to steam them.
10 When the water’s gone, they are finished!
