The making of the Cherbourg Mojo Out Loud documentary is a glimpse at the potential of mobile journalism (mojo) to empower individuals and communities to tell their own extraordinary stories. Set in Cherbourg a small community 250 ks north west of Brisbane, the film explores how a group of young Indigenous people, using just a smartphone, begin to produce, edit and publish their own digital stories, from a very different perspective, their own. Cherbourg Mojo is a mojo training program developed Burum Media (www.burummedia.com.au) and funded by Queensland TELLS.
