The Taiwan independence advocates continually claim that since there are no international legal documents to prove that Taiwan is currently part of Japan, the ROC, or the PRC, Taiwan must therefore (by default) be an independent sovereign nation. This video examines different categories of "territory" under international law to show that such an argument may be in error.
