Almost a Perfect Day: Environmental Stressors - how will they affect your day on the water?
Mike, Danny, and Jen are no different from any of us seeking a fun day on the water. And they try to act responsibly. They always wear their life jackets and Boat Responsibly.
Yet, it was a perfect day that ended in tragedy. Unbeknownst to the trio, their day of fun in the sun took a slow and steady toll on their bodies. Called the Environmental Stressors, wind, sun, vibration, noise, and motion of the boat produced fatigue and dehydration. Add a little alcohol and the effects of the stressors were enhanced.
The environmental stressors are part of a normal day of boating. Your awareness of these stressors and their surprising interaction with alcohol could determine whether you have another fun day on the water or a disastrous experience.
Find out what the group did wrong and how you can minimize the impact of the environmental stressors to have a perfect day!
