In this excerpt, two members of the early music ensemble Guido's Ear--Aaron Brown, baroque violin, and Gabe Shuford, harpsichord--perform the third movement of Bartolomeo Laurenti's Sonata Duodecima (Laurenti: 1644-1726). This tender, sensitive performance was part of Guido's Ear''s program Birth of the Baroque: Treasures from 17th Century Italy, presented at the 2012 GEMS APAP Showcase. The concert was held on January 7, 2012, at the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church in Manhattan.
