http://www.majesty2.com -- Across the great lands of Ardania, monsters and undead creatures rampage throughout the wild, countryside. As they attack trading posts, ambush caravan routes and shock the poor and hapless peasants with their ghastly practical jokes, the economy grinds to a halt. The situation cannot be allowed to continue. A solution calls for the employment of heroes with serious character. Enter the warrior.
Sallying forth their guilds these strong-armed and well-equipped heroes are among the most courageous at your disposal. Immediately attacking any enemies on sight, they charge into the maelstrom of battle with steel blade and armour. Once your heroes have earned some money on a mission, they will return to town to purchase better items from the host of buildings that offer items and services.
Once a guild has researched them, heroes can learn new powerful abilities to help defeat larger, deadlier enemy foes, encountered in later missions. Eventually heroes can be formed into parties of up to four heroes, chosen from any class; be it warrior, rogue, ranger, cleric, mage, elf or dwarf. [Just don't place any dwarves and elves together, unless you want pandemonium to ensue.] Heroes can even specialize in their class once certain temples are built, allowing them to reach the pinnacle of their career paths. For instance warriors can become paladins or blade-masters.
Yet as the battle to overcome the hordes of monsters continues, it is inevitable that some of your heroes will falter and be killed. Fear not! For if you have the gold to spare they can be resurrected for a price at the local graveyard. Furthermore as each mission is completed, one hero can be promoted to a lord and saved, in-case they must be recalled in later missions from the Hall of Lords ready to complete those all important and difficult tasks. http://www.majesty2.com
