The wet application process is used specifically with permanent adhesive vinyl. The wet application makes the vinyl easy to move around and be placed in the perfect spot.

It’s important to use permanent adhesive vinyl and the paper transfer tape when doing a wet application.

To do a wet application, fill a spray bottle with a little bit of water and dish soap and mix it together. The soap and the water mixture will make it so the vinyl doesn’t immediately adhere to the surface. Again, make sure you’re using permanent adhesive vinyl and paper transfer tape.

Removable adhesive is a water based adhesive so the solution will eat away at the adhesive and not stick to your window. In this video, Jessica aligns the design where she wants it and uses her application tool to squeegee out all the excess fluid. After all the water has been squeegeed out, wait a few minutes for it to dry and remove your transfer tape.
