NBC17 featured news story after Clean Jordan Lake's Annual Public Cleanup on Oct. 9, 2010 attracting 200 volunteers including many boaters. 700 bags of trash (7 tons!) and 600 tires, many on rims, were removed from the Haw River Arm shoreline.
