Sadistic ROBBERY occurred early Saturday morning in central Jordbro.

The victim was severly beaten and robbed of his jacket and phone and then the perpetrators poured a combustible on the victim and set him alight. The suspects then disappeared. The victim was taken to Karolinska Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries including burns.

The victim interviewed now is named Rudolph Moilanen, 18 years old. He transferred to the University Hospital in Uppsala in anticipation of a skin graft. He received bruises and abrasions all over the body but mainly burn injuries to his back and kicks he took including the face and back of the head.

Rudolph had been at the pub with friends, and at closing time, the idea was to continue at a party. But Rudolf wanted to go home and sat at Västerbommens bus station on South Jordbrovägen. Rudolph fell asleep on the bench and got a rude awakening. Three men in their 20s kicked and beat him brutally.

Rudolph's own words: "... Then I heard in English, they asked if I had any valuables" and "late, I was raised by some Arab, one or two guys must of course be strong, given that I weigh a lot."

Then they dragged him into a wooded area just next door. Rudolf suddenly felt extreme heat over the back and saw that his jacket was on fire. He screamed but instead of ending the sadistic act put one of the perpetrators foot against Rudolfs neck and let the flames take hold. Rudolf panicked and took off and then rolled around and thereby extinguished the flames. The perpetrators had fled the place. Rudolf tore off his jacket and shirt and went shirtless to a residential neighborhood, knocking on a door and got help.

When the beating began Rudolf did see the face of the most active and part of his attire: red baseball cap, a dark hooded sweatshirt and sneakers.

Rudolph's mother Eliisa Moilanen is angry and shocked by the attack on her son: - What is it that makes these things? If they wanted to kill him? It feels like they wanted to make him as bad as possible, she says.

Of Rudolph's injury, she says: - He will have surgery on Monday. They need to transplant the mass skin because the burns on his back are so deep, says Eliisa Moilanen.

The perpetrators are still at large and deed classified as aggravated robbery, which is subject to change. According to the police believed it was not a random robbery, but directly at the Rudolf person. But himself says he has no enemies.
