Here is a very high scoring all complete run of the light-gun part of the Die Hard Trilogy game for the PlayStation 1 (also released on the Saturn), released in 1996, it was one of the best early PS1 games, and it was not too easy, and rather challenging.

However, because Die Hard Trilogy came out before the Guncon 1/G-Con 45, the game doesn't support that gun... so I have to deal with the Konami Justifier/Hyper Blaser lightgun instead. Also the game has no calibration screen, so all of my shots come out 2 inches up and to the right, of where I am actually shooting... not much fun. Also on Die Hard Trilogy, it seems to update where I am shooting, whenever it wants, so I randomly hit hostages, when I'm aiming far away from them. Sadly this does make Die Hard Trilogy a little less fun, but it was amazing at its time, before the console release of Time Crisis 1.

I try my hardest to get as high a score as possible (well without the endless milking that can be done...) and there are a few ways to increase the score more than normal.

One method is getting the Bonus routes, which you get by meeting certain requirements, not shooting a hostage or shooting all the enemies in a section.

The other method is to shoot an enemy so much, that it explodes and gives you 63,500 extra points (which is prolly the highest amount the game could award for something)
Ways to get this bonus are to shoot an enemy many many times (hard to do with the lightgun, easier with the D-pad or a mouse), to use a rocket or a grenade, or to just do one direct shot with the Explosive ShotGun.

I also play arcade racing games, https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list... and shmups too https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...
