Zia Rita, everyone's favourite Italian auntie, runs a small, artisanal, gluten-free bakery in historic Bath, Ontario. Herself a celiac for many years, Zia Rita has dedicated her business to converting favourite comfort foods from her Italian childhood into gluten-free versions. Gluten-free means that her baking contains no wheat, barley or rye in any form.
Now in its second year, the bakery has become a destination for locals, and an attraction for new customers traveling through from near and far. At Zia Rita's you'll be drawn in by the mouth-watering aroma of freshly baked bread, buns, muffins and an ever-changing variety of delicious treats. These can include several different flavours of biscotti, cookies and muffins. With a very personalized touch, customers can also order a variety of cakes for special occasions.
Everything is gluten-free, all the time, and many baked items are dairy-free too. If you're traveling west between Kingston and the ferry to Prince Edward County, Zia Rita's is conveniently located en route at 363 Main Street in the village of Bath.
