Hepatitis C is a liver disease caused by a virus. The virus is spread through blood-to-blood contact. Most people with Hep C don't know they have it. You're at risk for Hep C if you: inject drugs (even once!), get a tattoo or body piercing from an unlicensed vendor, if you have sex with multiple partners, have an STD or HIV.
