Alicia Keys unveiled her latest venture, "We Are Here" at the Social Good Summit in New York City last week. Inspired by the powerlessness she felt watching the news on Michael Brown's shooting in Ferguson, Missouri, as well as the escalating conflict between Israel and Palestine, Keys decided to use her platform as a public figure (almost 35 million followers on Facebook alone) to inspire young people to mobilize for change, prompting the question "Why are you here?" as a call to action.
