When you find yourself inside a courtroom here in the Philippines, whether you did something bad or just a business-related issue sorted out, you’re going to want a good lawyer. The trouble is, here in the Philippines, is that if their client is a foreigner they automatically assume that person has a lot of money to throw around.

These lawyers will try to do unnecessary things to the case that is not beneficial to you, especially to your wallet. They know that you know nothing of the justice system or the laws in the Philippines, so they try to take advantage of that fact. Whenever you want to travel in the Philippines, be sure to stay out of trouble. Or if you need a lawyer for other things, be sure to get a good lawyer who will represent you in the courtroom and keep an eye on how the lawyer does things.

Find out why lawyers in the Philippines make it HARDER to resolve things. Learn why lawyers will intentionally drag cases out for as long as possible. After watching this video, you'll want to be careful of Filipino lawyers.

Tips For Dealing With Lawyers In The Philippines

1. Don't Let Them Drag Court Cases Out - A 'Closed Case' simply means that your Filipino lawyer is now out of a job. Because of this, many people living in the Philippines discover that their court cases go on for years with no resolution. This is often because your lawyer is purposefully dragging out the legal process in order to earn more fees.

2. Bad Advice - Some people who travel in the Philippines and are caught up in a lawsuit hire a lawyer without realizing that this lawyer doesn't have their best interests in mind. These lawyers will sometimes give bad legal advice simply to complicate a case and earn more legal fees.

3. Pick A Lawyer With Powerful Friends - If you pick the right lawyer, they will be friends with the judge who is presiding over your case. If your lawyer and the judge are friends, they will be able to sit down together and negotiate a decision that will close the case in your favor. This will be done 'cash in hand' and can save you years of stress at the witness stand.

4. There's no Government watchdog looking out for you. Especially if you aren't Filipino, you can't complain to anybody if your lawyer rips you off or if the court makes an unfair decision. It's the legal wild west out here, but you can buy your way out of problems if you need to.
