Early last year, Adam approached me about constructing a sample library based on my home studio kit and various snares that I've utilized in sessions past. He's had a ton of experience with samples/VSTs/virtual drum kit software and wanted to make something that folks could use right out of the 'box', so to speak. We also both agreed that cymbals were sorely lacking in that regard, and really wanted to put together a realistic-sounding cymbal palette.
Thus, Adam drove down to my studio from NYC in April and we took down the majority of the samples. He also filmed me playing a few passes of some improvised solo'ing (to a click); one of these passes comprises the beginning-middle section of the video. The playing is a bit too angular and choppy (I rarely show the pulse), but I suppose it serves the purpose of showcasing the quality of the samples. I remember being extremely tired when filming, hah (excuses, anyone?!)
Anyway, I hope that you enjoy and I thank you on behalf of both myself and Adam for your potential support!
